Walking on water

Hello my darlings!

I wrote this post a while back and shared it with a small community I was part of. And more and more it came back to my mind, so I realized, it’s time to share it here as well. Enjoy the read and share it with someone who needs the reminder.

When I was younger, I had a favourite quote that went something like this:

Those who were dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

And for the longest time, I believed the quote was talking about being different and special.

But this year, I realized more and more that the quote was about getting comfortable doing things that need to be done, that bring joy to your heart, that spark the fire in others’ hearts, despite - DESPITE - the haters and the non-believers.

I read somewhere earlier this year a phrase that resonated a lot: people will see walk on water and say it’s because you cannot swim.

Just think how powerful that image is.

🕊️ You walking on water🕊️

You, creating space for the miracle

You, surrendering to God’s mission for you

And still having people say you’re not who you’re supposed to be.

They’re still saying you’re small and disobedient because you’re doing differently than them.

But that’s the thing - they will only say what they are capable of seeing through their own filters, through their own unhealing.

And most of the time, if not all the time, it will have nothing to do with you.

The only thing connected to you is because it brings out in them what they need to heal.

Because those outside of us cannot control us.

Those outside of us cannot define us.

Because 🕊️you are who God says you are🕊️

No more, no less. ✝️

So my question for you today is :

Who are you not becoming because of what others are saying about you?

Let me know in the comments below if you feel like sharing publicly - or DM me on our IG community if you want to just share it with me.

Until next time,

Stay Salty & Bright!

xoxo,

Ana
