Who Governs your mind - Part 2

Hello my darlings and welcome to part 2 of what governs your mind.

Finding out in Part 1 that we allow ourselves certain beliefs, brings such freedom to unchain yourselves from places, limits and patterns that may have not served you as much as you believed they would.

When we realize that what we used to allow doesn’t have to be the same as what we can continue to allow - that’s when true mental and emotional freedom happens.

But that’s not the only thing that can free you.

In this part I want to dive a little deeper into the subject, so let’s dive into the fabulous emotion of hate.

What do YOU hate?

We might pride ourselves on high horses that we live an enlightened life where hate is not something we delve into. We might beat our chest in striving for optimal positivity or focus on ‘life happening for us, not to us’. We might even want to believe that we don’t take things personally anymore.

And, while that might be in fact true to a certain degree, I’m here to shine light on these beliefs and call BS on some of them 😃

Bear with me.

Is it really true that you live only in positivity, enlightened states, life is always happening for you or that you NEVER take things personally?

I can say for me it is not the case.

While I love the growth I’ve been capable of achieving where I get to manage my emotional state 10,000 better than even a year ago, I can assure you life doesn’t always feel like it’s happening for me, there are days where I’m under sea level with no enlightenment on sight and positivity can go drown itself. 🤣

Let’s be honest for a moment: we ALL have those days once in a while. Or sometimes, more often than we would like to admit. But that’s what makes us human, and admitting that dissolves the illusion that we are ‘superhumans’ or something untouchable.

So, let’s get back to the question of this article, which is: What to you HATE?

When we know what we hate, when we acknowledge the triggers that can happen and interrupt us from our path, then we can free ourselves from the shackles of those things/beliefs/happenings.

When we become aware of what we hate, we get to know how to control our emotions when what we hate happens. We get to train ourselves to not let what we hate disarm us. We can become the masters of our own being when what we hate doesn’t have control over us anymore.

And, before you go point fingers that I preach God’s word and now I talk about hate being ok, I can assure you God hates too. But not in the way we give the word meaning. And don’t take my word for it, take His:

“ There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” - Proverbs 6:16-19

And this is just one mention about what God hates - he hates sin.

So there’s nothing wrong with hating something that goes against morality and universal balance. However, we’re not talking only about that.

So, what do you REALLY hate?

Because when you know what you hate, you know what controls your mind - you learn what governs your mind. You can train yourself to feel the emotion without it clasping at your will.

In case you don’t know where to start with this question, here are some of my answers to get you going.

I hate injustice. Gaslighting and falsehood. I hate toxic egos driving people to obsessions, losing their connection to their purpose and true value. I hate superficial righteousness - pride - just to be seen as righteous in the eyes of others. I hate greed and manipulation to cause evil in the world. I hate wasting my time and too much busyness just to keep busy.

Now, it’s your time to figure out what you hate, so you can name it, control it, and not let it control you.

Until next time,

Stay Salty & Bright!

xoxo,

Ana
